Nestled in the Western side of the Barossa, in the scenic town of Seppeltsfield is Triple Creek, a vineyard with rustic elegance, surrounded by the beauty of three natural creeks that meet at the property.
MATARO
$50.00
Our Barossa Valley Mataro (otherwise known as Mouvedre) is produced from a small section in the vineyard that we highlighted as having the perfect soil and typography for growing this variety to produce a consistently high quality wine that’s true to varietal character. Giving the wine a great balance of lifted dark fruit with a medium to full palate yet soft – well rounded tannins for drinking now or many years to come.

Vineyard
Interwoven between three beautiful creeks sits our vineyard featuring vines over 27 years old over three classic grape varietals, Shiraz, Mataro and Merlot. It is this patch on the Western side of the Barossa where some of the best grapes in some of Australia’s most iconic wines were harvested and Triple Creek Wines are no exception.
Vintage
Quality is exceptional across the varieties and styles for 2021. Favourable conditions in Spring provided for ideal flowering and fruit set. Summer was relatively mild providing for optimal growing conditions. Harvest began in March and went well into April. Reds have intense, rich, and balanced flavours and colours. A vintage for now and the long term.
Winemaking
Our fruit is picked at the optimum time to allow it to fully ripen to get the perfect balance of alcohol, acid and fruit before it is hand picked and gently crushed. Open fermented and finished in both French and American Oak.

Sam Kim from Wine Orbit –
It’s splendidly fruited and fragrant on the nose, showing dark fruit richness, cake spice, rich floral
and mocha characters, leading to a succulent palate that’s supple and flavoursome. Silky and
plush with a lengthy, delectable finish. At its best: now to 2033.
